Picturelux Search Help The Radio buttons supplied below the search box are available to narrow or expand a search. When searching and more than one type of query is needed, put a space between each query and select the correct radio button. The "AND" radio button will search using the first query "AND" the second. For example if you are doing a search for Carpet AND Dress, your search will return images of people(hopefully women) wearing dresses and standing on a carpet. This type of query will more likely "narrow" a search. On the other hand if using the "OR" radio button, a query will return any image containing carpets or any image contain people wearing dresses. This type of query is used to "expand" a search. The last type of query "PHRASE" is used if a search is input with some combinations of words. For instance: If a user needs to search for any image containing the phrase "Academy of Motion Picture Arts". Images will be returned relating to that particular phrase. Remember: only a space is needed between each query and you can supply as many queries needed to narrow or expand a search. |
